Resolve Common PC Errors
If you are experiencing an http 404.3 – not found error, the following user guide will help you. In short, an HTTP 404.3 – Not Found error occurs on a website hosted on a Windows web server and/or IIS. It mostly refers to the missing script handler and even the wrong MIME type.

I can’t serve a single ASP.NET page from IIS 7.0 on Windows RC Vista A (Ultimate Edition). For an ASP.NET sheet (e.g. default.Return aspx), request a read message:
HTTP Error 404.3 – Not Found
Description: The page you requested could not be served due to the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) policy mapping configured on the web machine. The page you requested has a distinct filename whose extension is actually recognized and not allowed.
How do I fix HTTP Error 404.17 not found?
To resolve this issue, configure the application pool website that hosts the application to meet all of the same prerequisites that are defined for the handler. Expand the computer name and click “Application Pools” in the left pane.
Error code: 0x80070032
ASP.NET installed and activated, connected to IIS 7.0 (via the Windows Features applet in the Control Panel). Checking any machine handler mappings(s) shows the correct entries:
Inline PageHandlerFactory | *.aspx | Enabled | Not specified | System.Web.UI.SimpleHandlerFactory | local
PageHandlerFactory-ISAPI-1.1 | *.aspx | Enabled | Not a decreeano | | isapimoduleLocal
PageHandlerFactory-ISAPI-2.0 | *.aspx | Enabled | Not specified | IsapiModule | local

To bypass “Oshibca HTTP 404.3 – Not Found”, THE REQUESTED PAGE CANNOT BE DELIVERED DUE TO THE EXTENSION SETUP. IF THE PAGE IS A SCRIPT, ADD A HANDLER. IF THE FILE IS REQUIRED TO DOWNLOAD, PLEASE ADD A MIME MAP.” Error.
Note. These entries (above) are not complete for the default website, perhaps for its applications. (I can only assume that they can be inherited.)
When I explicitly add the custom path “*.aspx” to my applications, the “none” error appears for a long time. However, ASP.Net definitely works. (The content returned to your IIS 7.0 drive is actually empty.)
I have Windows 10, Aras Innovator a dozen pairs, iis version 10, Windows Server 1809, .NET Framework 4.8, ASP .NET 4.0.30319.0. Attempts
What IS HTTP Error 404. 3?
The requested page could not be served due to our own extension configuration. If you want the page to be a script, add a handler. If the file needs to be downloaded, increase the MIME map.
When I visit the website the first time I install Aras Innovator (configure only, no commits option), I get the following error:
The requested page could not be served due to the configuration of the main extension. If the page should have an add script, the handler. If the file needs to be loaded, add a brand new MIME map.
Do I need to make sure you have configured something in IIS Manager? (Add every handler? If so, sometimes this one?) Handlers included: OPTIONSVerbHandler, TRACEVerbHandler and StaticFile.
The web.config file also has
The following application pools are in IIS at startup: Aras Conversion AppPool ASP.NET 4.0, Aras Innovator AppPool ASP.NET 4.0, Aras OAuth AppPool ASP.NET Core, SelfServiceReporting aras AppPool ASP.NET 4.0, Aras Vault AppPool ASP. NET 4.0, default application pool.
Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Thank you.
How do I fix 404 error in IIS?
Go to IIS Firewood and see if this 404 error substatus code is present. Access request filtering in IIS Manager to make sure no rules affect ASP.NET pages. Verify that other hosted websites found in IIS are working. Create a new web page and application pool to try and access the ASP.NET pages.
